For best performance, use at a recommended cutting speed of 15-20 m/s. This achieves an ideal compromise between stock removal rate, surface finish, temperature load on the workpiece and tool wear. Increasing the cutting speed results in a slightly finer surface finish. Increasing the contact pressure results in a slightly coarser surface. The contact pressure must be significantly reduced if the specified optimum speed is exceeded. Safety is only guaranteed if the clamping length is at least 15 mm and the specified maximum speed is not exceeded with open shank lengths. - Advantages: Optimum contour adaptation due to high flexibility.
