Mit der Husqvarna 550 XP Mark II Benzin Kettensäge ist es Husqvarna gelungen eine 5,3 kg leichte und gleichzeitig 3,0 kW starke Kettensäge zu entwickeln. Das Air Injection Zentrifugal-Reinigungssystem sorgt für längere Einsatzzeiten und für weniger Verschleiss zwischen den Filterreinigungen. Der X-Torq Motor sorgt für hohes Drehmoment über einen breiteren Drehzahlbereich. Dabei hat er einen 20% geringeren Kraftstoffverbrauch und erzeugt dabei 75% geringere Schadstoffemissionen. AutoTune gewährleistet eine korrekt eingestellte Motoreinstellung und optimierte Motorleistung unter allen Bedingungen. Der 2 Takt Motor ist sehr robust und auch für lange Arbeitstage geeignet - und das ohne nennenswerte Ermüdungserscheinungen. Zum Anbringen der Sägeschiene und Kette muss zwingend die Kettenbremse gelöst werden.
