Die DCM 500 ist eine wahlweise mit 18 Volt Akkus (über einen mitgelieferten Adapter) oder ein 230 Volt Netzkabel betriebene, kleine leichte und handliche Kaffeemaschine von Makita. Durch die kompakte Größe eignet sich die Maschine optimal für die Benutzung an Baustellen oder Unterwegs. Die Möglichkeit das Gerät ohne externe Energiequelle zu nutzen ist durch den mitgelieferten 18 Volt Akku-Adapter gesichert und ermöglicht dem Anwender und Kaffeetrinker völlige Flexibilität und sorgt immer für frischen Kaffee, egal wo man sich aufhält. Die Bedienung ist dabei so einfach, wie bei einem Gerät im eigenen Haushalt. Der Kaffee wird in das mitgelieferte und immer wieder verwendbare Trägersieb gefüllt, wodurch kein extra Filterpapier erforderlich ist. Dabei reicht die Menge für 2 kleine Tassen bzw. 150 ml bei einer Akkuladung eines BL 1830 Akkus von Makita mit 3,0 Ah.
