The Metabo HS 8865 hedge trimmer is the ideal choice for demanding gardening work. Thanks to the two-stage reduction gearbox, it impresses with a particularly high cutting performance. The patented Metabo handle system has an additional switch that increases the reach by up to 50%, making it easy to reach even hard-to-reach areas. With their low weight, the hedge trimmers enable effortless working while still offering high performance. The patented mechanical quick blade stop ensures greater safety during operation in just 0.05 seconds. The special blade geometry ensures low wear and a service life that is 200% longer than that of conventional blades. The diamond-ground blade teeth on both sides at an angle of 30° ensure a clean cut, while the safety lower blade increases work safety. The Metabo S-automatic safety clutch protects the blade and gearbox from damage caused by jamming due to foreign objects. Thanks to the ergonomically shaped bow handle and the optimum centre of gravity, fatigue-free working is guaranteed. The counter-rotating shear blades also ensure optimum running smoothness. The hedge trimmer has user-friendly guidance of the machine exhaust air in every working situation and is particularly easy to service thanks to the option of simple carbon brush and cable replacement. The cable strain relief prevents unintentional disconnection of the cable plug connection, while the impact protection with branch feed protects the user and gearbox from kickbacks.
