- Application recommendation: Increasing the cutting speed results in a slightly finer surface. Increasing the contact pressure results in a slightly coarser surface. The softer the material to be processed, the coarser the surface (when using , An increase in the stock removal rate should be achieved by using a coarser grit size and not by increasing the contact pressure in order to prevent unnecessary tool wear and thermal stress on the workpiece. Reducing the contact pressure and peripheral speed and adding grinding oil reduces tool wear and the temperature load on the workpiece. Use grinding oil suitable for the material to significantly increase the service life and grinding performance of the tools. For best performance, use at a recommended cutting speed of 15-20 m/s. This achieves an ideal compromise between stock removal rate, surface finish, temperature load on the workpiece and tool wear.
